What we do
On the basis of sound practice and strong evidence, the Alliance targets decision-makers and civil society at the European Union (EU) and the national level to ensure commitment to a rigorous and resolute action in the fight against malaria.
The Alliance's work can be seen within the scope of global efforts to reduce poverty and meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It links up with other malaria initiatives world-wide that share our vision of a malaria-free world.
With a focus on European action, we aim to increase funding and improve programming for malaria, demanding rigorous and resolute action against malaria as part of global efforts to reduce poverty and meet the MDGs.
With comprehensive advocacy activities we target decision-makers and civil society at the EU and national level. As a result of our work, the Alliance will present a set of solution-focused recommendations based on sound practice and strong evidence.
Similarly, the Alliance works with the European media to educate, influence and ignite public dialogue, awareness and action on malaria.
Working with partners in the South, we focus our advocacy on the barriers that prevent effective malaria control.
We look to other global health advocates for areas of commonality and complimentarily and seek to ensure harmonised efforts and determined action against poverty.
